Welcome to Growing Foundations! Dr. Annela Costa is a Florida licensed (SS1522) and certified school psychologist. She works with children and adolescents in Broward County Public Schools conducting psychoeducational assessments and providing individual and group counseling at the preschool, elementary, and secondary level. She is passionate about empowering children, adolescents, and families. 

 

​Educationally, Dr. Costa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University. She continued her studies at Florida International University where she earned an Educational Specialist in School Psychology and Doctorate in Special Education. She has taught college-level courses at Florida International University and has several published works and conference presentations on school-based mental health, disability, and diversity in education.

In her free time, Dr. Costa enjoys spending time with her family, cooking new recipes, and exploring the outdoors. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
