Welcome to Growing Foundations! Dr. Annela Costa is a Florida licensed (SS1522) and certified school psychologist. She has over a decade of experience working with children and adolescents conducting psychoeducational evaluations and providing individual and group counseling at the preschool, elementary, and secondary level. She is passionate about empowering children and families.

​Educationally, Dr. Costa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University. She continued her studies at Florida International University where she earned an Educational Specialist in School Psychology and Doctorate in Special Education. She has served as an adjunct professor and has several published works and conference presentations on school-based mental health and supporting students with unique abilities.

In her free time, Dr. Costa enjoys spending time with her family, cooking new recipes, and exploring the outdoors. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
